This display features a large orange and black cicada. He is suspended inside a rectangular black floating frame with antique brass corner embellishments on each side. Floating frames are comprised of a very thin clear film (similar to plastic wrap, but stronger) that holds the specimen in place so it appears to be suspended in mid air. The frame itself is made of PLASTIC. I offer these frames as BUDGET friendly displays for people who are looking for a lower-priced, more affordable option than my higher end displays. THIS IS A SUPER EASY FIX... If upon receipt your specimen is not centered properly in the frame, simply open the frame on a flat surface by pinching the push tab and GENTLY nudge the specimen back into position using a toothpick or similar instrument. Try not to handle fragile insects with your hands if you can help it as they can easily be damaged.
