Updated: 10 December 2025 --- Cody We are shipping the Mountain Jackets in Drab Green and Brown now. We hope to make them in all colors for 2026, but we don't know when we'll have the Fabric to work with. If the website shows SOLD OUT for something you definitely want, please LMK. These Jackets are $900 up to size 2XLarge. 3XLarge, $930; 4XLarge, $960 Originally designed (and now somewhat redesigned) by Advisor Chad Borofsky, a ski patrol veteran since about 1990, the Mountain Jacket works for all types of skiing and many other outdoor activities. Some of the people who like it best don't ski at all which is why we changed the name from Ski Jacket to The Mountain Jacket. It tested really well at the US Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center at Pickel Meadows. The design of this Jacket was inspired by a couple of Ski Jackets Chad liked, plus his suggestions for improving them, and input from customers. The Mountain Jacket features: Dolman Sleeves for maximum freedom of movement of shoulders FullWeight Jacquard Fabric throughout Large adjustable Hood. Most people, but not everyone, will be able to wear a helmet under the Hood ... depends on size of helmet and length of neck Large outer front pockets on each side Large inside, zippered pockets on each side Bottom sweep cinch Knitted cuffs The gent wearing the Lynx Pattern SkiJac published a couple of reviews in 2015 and 2016 (WOW, yeah, 10 years!) in GUNS Magazine, but I don't think those pieces are online anymore. But here is some info from 2015. Magazines are necessarily conflicted in their coverage of products. Their advertisers pay the bills, and we don't advertise. The interior of the Mountain Jacket, in places, has some of our own LightWeight/Heritage Fabric. This Fabric is made from the same fibre as all our Fabrics. The LightWeight is 100% worsted yarn, plain-woven, and, of course, 100% wool. Thank You! --- Ralph [Note: For additional pictures and information on the (previous) SkiJac, please click here.] I'd love to get any information on wool for skiers and snowboarders. Sizing Details about WeatherWool Construction Care and Cleaning The REVIEW feature below, which enables anyone to publish a review, was added in March of 2022. But we're shipping them again in early 2025, so reviews should start trickling in!
