Daydreams - Nucleus | Art Gallery and Store

From Karly:I spent the summers of my formative years visiting family in a small Washington canal town west of Seattle. My grandpa’s backyard was a stretch of rocky beach where I’d explore the tidal pools, dig for clams, take the row boat out on the water. I marveled at how life grew on every surface — barnacles and mussels on rocks, lichen on mailboxes, moss in soft clumps on the roof, mushrooms on the forest floorWhen I was laid off last year and existing felt prickly, I ached for a soft place to escape to. I turned to my memories of my childhood. In this compilation of drawings, I meditate on places and moments that felt healing to relive.
