ABOUT: Beautiful antique chain in 9k rose and yellow gold with a T Bar on one end, a dog clip / clasp on the other and wonderful chunky roll links separated by three spacers that have star cutouts on the flat side and stamped star designs on the edges. Also interesting to see that each little link is slightly beveled, giving the links the appearance of hand wrought / hammered gold. I acquired this in London and I enjoyed wearing it around! This fits me as a choker but it is a short chain at about 13.5 inches so I find it fits me a bit more comfortably with an add on like the folding button hook seen in photos which I also have available. A shepherd's hook or larger split ring would also work well to add some length. The patina is just fabulous, with a rich, rosy gold patina and when you look at it under magnification, you can see organic aging to the gold revealing a yellow gold glow on the insides of the links. It's so beautiful! Stamped 9C with an old style font for 9k gold on both the T bar and the clip and the first chain link closest to the clasp. Sturdy weight at 16.5 grams of solid gold (not plated or gold filled). CONDITION: All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition with signs of their age. Completely functional, clasp works well, T bar spins nicely in the little bracket. Organic surface wear which has resulted in a wonderful antique patina but no dings or dents to the star design connecting components. One chain link on the very end nearest to the T bar has a slight ripple but the rest appear nicely rounded and any potential irregularity would be masked by the awesome beveled facets on each link. It is a sturdy piece with many years left. But Due to age, please note this is not a mint condition item.
