The wood is wonderful, warm, rustic wood with character. The hand stained flat matte finish adds to the farmhouse rustic and industrial vibe. It is construction grade pine that has been planed and the edges and ends sanded, and two coats of flat matte stain applied. It does not have a glossy poly finish to distract from the rustic flair. The Unstained board option is raw wood. It is a great option for customers that want to match other stains colors in their space. They can apply the stain of their choice. The shelf thickness is approximately 1 1/2" after planing and sanding. Bracket Features: Two flat iron brackets are included in this listing. They are painted black and might have some paint blemishes on the rounded bends to replicate the rustic decor vibe. These are heavy duty items providing security for large loads. If you need an extra center bracket for the longer table tops, it is added on the drop down menu. They are rated at 200 lbs per pair.
