Hair Stick - Crescent Moon in Maple

Hand crafted with pride in the USA! I wasn't quite sure what to call this one - it isn't really a fork, to my way of thinking. It certainly isn't a dagger. It could be considered a hair stick only in the most general sense of the word. So let's call it a 'Crescent Moon Shaped Hair Stick' and leave it at that. :) This crescent measures approx. 9 cm (approx. 3 5/8") round (more or less) and is approx. 9 mm thick. I used my scroll saw to cut this hair stick out of a piece of solid maple then sanded the entire piece by hand. I finished it off by applying danish oil and paste wax for a smooth, natural finish that will insert with ease into any hair. Want it customized? If you are interested in this or any of my other hair sticks but might like a different wood or length than that shown, please let me know - I am happy to custom make any hair stick any way you'd like it. I try to keep my shop stocked with the following woods, and will not charge extra for their use: Oak, Maple, Cherry, Ash, Walnut and Mahogany. In addition, I have a limited supply of the following exotic hardwoods, or may be able to get them for an added fee: purpleheart, yellowheart, bocote, mora, padauk and leopardwood.
