EARRING BACKS Ear wires are hypoallergenic, lead-free and nickel-free 14K gold fill (GF), or .925 sterling silver. Earrings from my shop have the choice of hinged lever back or simple French loop ear wires. Lever backs are great if you're always losing your earrings, but all earrings with simple French loops from my shop arrive with clear rubber clutches to prevent them from loss, too. Lever backs have a 1/2" drop. French loops have a 1/4" drop. Use the drop down menu to select your preference. (Ear wires will be made to match the pendants.) A NOTE ABOUT GOLD FILLED JEWELRY Gold filled components contain 100 times more real gold that gold plated components and are very durable and tarnish resistant. Gold filled jewelry is a beautiful, affordable alternative to solid gold, and can be worn by people with sensitive skin. A NOTE ABOUT RAW BRASS If you've selected natural brass on 14K GF ear wires, the pendant(s) are unfinished brass, which will darken with time and use. Brass doesn't respond well to water left to dry on its own or to chemicals like hair spray or perfume, but can be buffed again to a bright shine with a polishing cloth, simple soap and water, or a non-toxic scrub like Bon Ami. A small sample polishing cloth and a small ziplock storage bag are included with all natural brass items from minusOne. Use both for care and safe-keeping.
