The hotel, isolated in the Colorado Rockies, is the primary setting of the book THE SHINING. It is also mentioned in MISERY and the television miniseries CASTLE ROCK, and is a place of importance in DOCTOR SLEEP, sequel to THE SHINING. This item is designed with an "in-universe" style. This means that it looks like something a person could really buy at the Overlook Hotel. It is completely book-accurate, from the exterior depiction matching the real Stanley Hotel (which inspired King's book) right down to the claw-foot tub, pink shower curtain, hedge animals, and roque (croquet) mallets. These details all differ greatly from Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation, but a version paying homage to that film is available at the link above. Images in the letters include: hedge animals, room keys, the old Otis elevator, roque/croquet set, the hotel lobby seating area, the Colorado lounge bar, a bathroom like that from room 217, and the hotel's central staircase.
