Realistic Ammonite Fossil Crochet Plush Amigurumi Prehistoric Marine Mollusk Stuffed Sea Creature Marine Biology Unique Gift

Realistic Ammonite Fossil Crochet Plush Amigurumi Prehistoric Marine Mollusk Stuffed Sea Creature Marine Biology Unique Gift

Ammonites are intriguing and beautiful extinct prehistoric marine mollusks in the same family as cuttlefish, nautiluses, octopus, and squids (cephalopoda). While they have a shell like a nautilus, they are actually more closely related to an octopus! The gorgeous spiral fossilized shells of the ammonite are commonly used in jewelry or found in rock collections. Now, the ammonite has come back to life as a cuddly, crocheted, prehistoric plush. Perfect as a gift for sea creature or extinct animal enthusiasts, these ammonites are crocheted with care in my own original design. (Psst- hey crocheters! Soon I'll write a pattern for these guys!) The shells are textured with rings of ridges just like a real ammonite. I've embroidered different colored stripes on the spiral shells to add aesthetic interest. Each ammonite is adorned with beautiful crystal clear blue eyes. These sea creature friends are stuffed with wool batting. The shells are about 5 1/2 inches across at the widest part. The shell is 2-2 1/2 inches thick. The curly tentacles are all different in length but the longest tentacle reaches about one foot long. These ammonites come in two shell color options: beige or light brown. Both are currently ready to ship. Please note- in the last photograph, the stuffed animal on the right is what is being sold in this listing. The animals on the left are also currently for sale under other listings.
